BYTEK SYSTEMS LAUNCHES NETPOD® IN MEXICO

Together with Telmex (Teléfonos de México S.A. de C.V.), Bytek Systems AB has launched NetPod®, a patented storage and file sharing service with a unique security solution. The service, which enables storage of up to 25 GB, is launched through Telmex’s broadband service Prodigy® which means that in excess of 1.5 million broadband customers are offered NetPod® for a monthly fee of $(MEX) 99 corresponding to approximately SEK 70 for the 10 GB service.

”Telmex is our second major license customer in the world and we are following the next weeks’ test marketing with the highest attention. All the Telmex broadband customers will be exposed to NetPod®’s service, and this should give us a clear indication of its potential,” Bytek Systems’

Chairman and Novestra’s Managing Director, Peter Ekelund, says. “For Novestra, this means that we will be able to start to quantify the value of one of our most exciting investments,” Peter Ekelund continues.

Currently, the NetPod® service is also available through www.netpod.us, www.byteksystems.com and www.download.com.
